Social networks

Redes socialesA social network is a website in which the links are names of persons or users and where relations between users are essential. It is possible to create social networks for a media (such as YouTube or MySpace), to get loyalty to a brand (for example, the social network of people traveling to China with KLM) or to add value to an organization (for example, the network of Microsoft workers).

There are social networks in any group of people (NGOs, business, university, administration, private club) but its potential is rarely conveniently used. People almost never collaborate beyond coffee and working meetings. The tools (known as "Kide") and methodologies of animation of Alianzo contribute both to implement these social networks and to give them greater value.

Kide is a line of solutions for creating and managing social networks of exclusive access for customers, partners and the target of any organization. Because of its flexibility, it is adaptable to any site and can be customized for any type of system requirements and design. It is also accessible via the Web (computer or television) or through a mobile device (phone or PDA).

The line of solutions includes a methodology of social animation over the Internet and a powerful technology platform with restricted access to members previously selected. Each social network that uses Kide is independent of the others and its database is also completely closed. The identities of the members of the network should be validated in advance, which avoids intrusive advertising and the lack of credibility that is generated in the various forums of free Internet access.

The line of solutions Kide has been developed to ensure privacy and security of its members as well as adapting its functionality and its interface with the requirements of the organization where it is implemented. To that end, the platform includes a series of templates and customizable and extensible modules that can be turn on or off at will:

Directory of users
Network - Users can graphically display the relationships among people with whom they have any direct or indirect relationship (through direct contact, also known as second-degree relationship).
Messaging - People who are part of the network can send private messages.
Groups - Users can enter into talks on various topics, always starting from the premise that each participant was previously identified. Messages may be moderate or free.
Weblogs (video, photo, text)
Wiki - Some users authorized by the owner of the network can generate electronic whiteboards in which a selected group of people can make their own contributions.
Announcements - Some users authorized by the owner of the network can send communications to other members.
Search engine - Information stored in Kide is accessible with alternative approaches (geographical, professional, educational) to select the people they want to contact.
Statistics - People who have more activity in Kide can be highlighted.

How is Kide different from a forum? Kide is a complete solution that goes far beyond a forum. Basically, all users are divided in a network where they are referenced by both their actions and their contacts. There is evidence that people tend to be more honest with people when they know each other. A previous contact on the Internet also facilitates the relationship established later in the real world, whether at a professional level or a purely recreational.
